AlHudood is an independent media organisation, not affiliated with any political party or government. We receive grants only from organisations that are aligned with our vision and individuals who uphold our independence and never interfere with our editorial process.

In our pursuit of financial independence and sustainability, AlHudood aims to diversify its revenue streams, which is why we’re launching a membership programme that streamlines the support of like-minded individuals. We run content production projects in collaboration with organisations that share our goals, we provide editorial and translation services through our partner Atoya, and offer web development and maintenance services to other independent media organisations in the region.

Until we become fully financially independent (a goal we are working on achieving within the next 3-5 years), AlHudood receives support from donor organisations, including Open Society Foundations, International Media Support, and the European Union.

We previously worked on projects with Canal France International, the DOEN Foundation, and Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, and received grants from the European Endowment for Democracy, and collaborated with Heinrich Böll Stiftung.

These organisations cover parts of our operational costs, but we still need our readers support to grow our editorial team and be able to cover more topics and issues across the region.

Content published by AlHudood doesn’t necessarily reflect the views of supporting organisations.
