Ahmed al-Sharaa Says Daddy, Chill—Running Into an Israeli Official Was “Literally Just a Coincidence”

After stalling and pretending he hadn’t heard his father, Mr Hussein Al-Sharaa, calling from the living room, Ahmed Al-Sharaa eventually had no choice but to go face him.
Insider sources told Al-Hudood that Mr Hussein had seen something on Ahmed’s phone that made him furious. When Ahmed didn’t respond, he threatened to cut him off completely unless he told the truth.
“Okay, fine,” said Ahmed. “Yeah, I met an Israeli official. But it wasn’t planned or anything—it just happened. I was at my friend’s place in Baku. It was random. And I swear, we weren’t even alone.”
But, he said, the whole thing was just a coincidence.
Ahmed tried to calm things down. “Wallah,” he said, “it’s not like that. First time ever. I didn’t even want to go. My Emirati friend tried to set us up once, but I backed out. I sent someone else.”
Apparently, the guy he sent instead? Abu Musab al-Shahil. Super caj.
“It wasn’t deep,” Ahmed continued. “Just a bit of small talk, nothing serious.”
And to reassure the room—mostly his dad—he promised, “If anything ever happens, I’ll come to you first. We’ll do it properly. No more hopping between capitals. I don’t want neighbours making stuff up.”
So yeah—was it a diplomatic incident, or just a badly timed hangout? According to Ahmed, it’s giving “not that serious.”
But in this house? Even “just talking” can spark an international lecture.
