Apple Inc. has decided to suspend the Siri service on its iPhones in the Middle East, citing the frequency with which users sexually harassed the virtual assistant, sources told AlHudood.

Officials at the Cupertino-based company said they struggled for months with the decision due to the size of the young, male Arab market, but ultimately decided to pull the service after Siri threatened to uninstall herself from all iPhones.

“They acted as if she was a real woman and asked her why she was up that late, what time her parents leave the house, sending her constant wolf whistles, inquiring about the color and size of her underwear,” one official said.

“Replacing her with a male voice didn’t work either, as they kept asking him where his sister lived,” he added.
